FROM THE PHARMACY
TO THE PATIENT’S BEDSIDE
With SmartBin, a controlled medication process can be established, from the central pharmacy all the way to the patient’s bedside.
SmartCarts can be integrated with Automated Dispensing Cabinets, or medication drawers can be digitally assigned directly in the central pharmacy. This enables a closed loop medication flow from the pharmacy or ward medication room to the patient. In addition, various logistical options are available for safely and securely transporting medication, from a central or decentralized pharmacy model, to the ward.
REAL-TIME LOGGING AND STATISTICS REGARDING MEDICATION DISPENSING
The Medsafe Dashboard provides a real-time overview of the medication dispensing process. Logging of all user activity related to the medication dispensing solution is presented. Pharmacists have real-time insight into the entire medication process and gain control over the closed-loop, from pharmacy to the patient’s bedside. In addition, the dashboard presents graphical statistics for intuitive insight into the hospital’s medication dispensing systems.

MedSafe is the smartest solution for the last 50 meters of the closed-loop process. The solution is controlled by SmartConnect software, which allows nurses to easily access the medication bins directly from the EHR.
The MedSafe solution is fully secured, with all bin openings logged and presented in the SmartConnect management dashboard. This provides a clear and detailed overview of all medication-related activities, ensuring that any potential errors can be identified and corrected in a timely manner.
MedSafe is offered in various configuration levels and can be equipped with four different SmartBin types to fit your medication workflow.

BIN ASSIGNMENT
STATION
With the Bin Assignment Station, MedSafe medication bins can be assigned and filled already for specific patients in the central pharmacy. After assignment, the bins can be transported to the nursing wards.
The Bin Assignment Station uses our SmartConnect software and can be connected to the EHR system for optimal workflow for pharmacy staff.

After patient-specific medication bins are assigned and filled in the central pharmacy, they can be moved safely to the nursing wards as part of one consistent workflow.
Medication transport between the (central) pharmacy and the wards is supported by a logistics solution designed to keep the process controlled, secure and efficient.
The process is designed to maintain oversight from pharmacy preparation to ward availability, without losing control of the medication flow.

SmartCart and ADC are seamlessly integrated. This improves the medication safety up to the patient’s bedside, by providing a closed-loop medication workflow.
